Upcycled Crossbody Bag
I love upcycling and finding new ways to give both small and large fabric leftovers a new purpose – whether they come from my dress collections, my own wardrobe or my husband's old jeans. This bag is made from the remaining fabric of my mother-in-law's dress from the 1950s. First, the dress was transformed into a Hope skirt, and the last pieces of fabric became this bag. To me, upcycling is about seeing the possibilities in beautiful materials and treating them with respect, so they can continue their story in a new form. I sew every bag myself in my shop in Copenhagen, one at a time. That means I only make a few of each design, and no two bags are ever the same. This model is smaller than my Mini Weekend Bag and is designed as a lightweight crossbody bag for the things you want to keep close at hand. Soft, practical and comfortable to wear, it's perfect for everyday use, holidays or a day out. How it is: Hand-quilted with decorative gold stitching, lightly structured and reversible Square shape with a zipper opening from the centre to both sides Long glitter crossbody strap in sturdy woven webbing, approx. 112 cm Approx. 22 × 17 × 10 cm Handmade one of a kind Use it like this: Everyday use Holidays and city trips Your essentials: phone, wallet, sunglasses and keys When you want a lightweight bag full of personality This is a bag that tells a story – and becomes even more beautiful the more you use it. Materials & care: Handmade by me in my shop in Copenhagen. Each bag is made from upcycled textiles. The first design was created from the remaining fabric of a 1950s dress, combined with carefully selected textiles. Depending on the materials available, fabrics may include cotton, wool, silk and viscose. Every bag is one of a kind. Small variations are part of the story – and part of the charm.
