Mirage Peony Top

A silk halter top in a porcelain blue peony and serpent print, with a plain navy high neck collar that ties at the back and leaves long ribbons falling down an open back.The print is built like blue-and-white china. Oversized peonies open in porcelain white against an indigo ground, and a serpent winds through them with its whole body filled in chinoiserie scrollwork, so the animal reads as painted ceramic rather than skin. The collar is cut from plain navy silk, which stops the print at the throat and keeps the neckline clean.The back is the point of it. The collar fastens with a single knot at the nape and two long ties drop the length of the spine, moving on their own as you walk. Shoulders and back stay bare.
