Sometimes products we have made for us just don't meet our standards when they arrive. Sadly these beautiful hot pink floral kantha quilts weren't stitched well enough to use as bedcovers so they need a new life as something fabulous! So, if you want a project you can grab one at an enormous discount and make something beautiful with it instead. Choose your size: Double 230cm x 220cm (90" x 86"): This size will give you 2 lengths of 100cm x 230cm (39" x 90") and a strip of 20cm x 230cm (8" x 90") plus the light pink reverse fabric King 230cm x 270cm (90" x 108") This size will give you 2 lengths of 100cm x 270cm (39" x 108") and a strip of 20cm x 270cm (8" x 108") plus the light pink reverse fabric How to upcycle: The stitches are quite large on these and aren't knotted at the ends, so simply pull them out and separate the front from the back fabrics. We recommend washing the cotton using a biological detergent with enzymes (e.g Persil Bio) to soften the fibres and close the small holes after the threads are removed. This will give you a beautifully flowy cotton of about 100gsm (approx 3oz) suitable for lightweight clothing, lampshades, breezy curtains or anything else you can come up with….
