Replace your transmission's weak link. These MTM straight-cut 3rd and 4th gears are a direct-fit strength upgrade engineered to handle serious power where the factory helical gears give up. Straight-cut design — spur-cut teeth carry load with no side thrust, making them far stronger and more consistent under high torque than the factory helical gears. Harder alloy — machined from a harder metal than the OE gears for greater durability and resistance to wear and breakage. 3rd gear — 1.70 ratio 4th gear — 1.25 ratio Uses factory synchros — designed to run your OEM synchronizers, so engagement stays clean. Synchronizers not included — works well with Synchrotech. Good to know: Straight-cut gears produce a mild distinct whine that rises with speed — that's normal, and it's the sound of a stronger gearset.
