Thank you for ordering a half beef from Sawyer Creek Cattle Company in Shell Lake, Wisconsin. We’re proud to offer high-quality, locally raised beef and have continued to increase our availability each year to meet growing demand. 2023: 8 beef | 2024: 12 beef | 2025: 16 beef | 2026: 20 beef | 2027: 25 beef We are currently offering half beef options only. With continued growth in availability, we hope to offer whole beef options again in the future. Fall 2027 Half Beef: $5.99 per lb. hanging weight Grass-fed and grass-finished (no corn or soy) All-natural (no antibiotics) No growth hormones No mRNA vaccines Raised on wide-open pastures Low-stress cattle handling $300 deposit: The $300 paid when ordering reserves your half beef and is not the total purchase price. Your deposit will be applied to your final Sawyer Creek invoice. A half beef will have an approximate hanging weight of 300-350 pounds, with the final beef price calculated at $5.99 per pound based on actual hanging weight. Processing: Processing and slaughter are not included in the $5.99-per-pound price. Your beef will be cut and packaged to your specifications by Almena Meat Company. Processing fees are paid separately and directly to Almena Meat Company. Processing typically costs approximately $1.25-$1.50 per pound, but please contact Almena Meat Company directly for current rates. Never ordered a half beef before?
