Japanese Black teas are often made from Zairai tea bushes - tea bushes grown from seed, native to Japan - which, as you may know, we adore! They tend to have a surprisingly bold character that reminds us of black teas from more southern climates, alongside rich, juicy fruit notes like plum and dark cherry. This black tea from Kocha is an exceptional example of why we wish Japan made more black tea in general!
