The Illuminating Body Crème is the moisturiser that belongs in a skincare routine rather than just a shower routine. Niacinamide refines and strengthens; lactic acid — an alpha hydroxy acid — resurfaces and recalibrates skin pH for a smoother, more even texture; ceramides restore the barrier and lock in hydration. The result is skin that looks and feels genuinely different: softer, smoother, with a subtle light-reflecting gleam rather than a heavy or greasy finish. The sandalwood seed oil in the base provides anti-inflammatory support and contributes to the RATIONALE signature scent — the same sweet orange fragrance as The Illuminating Body Cleanse. One important caveat: this product contains lactic acid, which can increase sensitivity to UV. If using during the day, apply SPF to exposed skin — or use in the evening and sidestep the consideration altogether.
