Anchovies

The first small step outside my comfort zone. I’ve always loved the look of food, even the things I’ve been too frightened to eat. So I decided to face them in the only way I knew how. By drawing them first. This little tin of anchovies became the first subject in The Fussy Eater Series. I spent hours studying the silvery fish, curled tails and tiny details before finally working up the courage to try one. Drawn slowly, with care. One tiny stroke at a time.
