Protein-Rich Supplemental Food for Shrimp, Vampire Crabs & Isopods Benibachi Shrimp Food SP is a premium Japanese shrimp food formulated with a higher proportion of animal protein than conventional shrimp foods. Combined with plant protein, kelp powder, brewer's yeast, calcium, vitamins and minerals, it provides a nutrient-rich supplementary food for feeding variety, growth and natural colour development. Originally formulated for ornamental shrimp, its protein-rich composition also makes it useful as an occasional supplemental food for omnivorous vampire crabs and isopods. How to Use Shrimp Aquarium Recommended use: Protein & colour supplement Feed a small amount approximately 1–2 times per week, alternating with staple or plant-based foods such as Benibachi Dry Spinach. Provide only an amount the shrimp can consume within a few hours. Remove persistent leftovers to prevent unnecessary organic waste from accumulating in the aquarium. Remove uneaten food after feeding, particularly in warm and humid paludariums. Offer a very small amount approximately once a week as part of a varied diet. Shrimp Food SP should be treated as a supplemental protein source rather than the colony's staple food. For easier monitoring, place the food on a dry feeding dish, flat stone or piece of cork instead of mixing it into damp substrate. Remove uneaten portions before they deteriorate, as protein-rich foods can encourage mold, mites and other unwanted organisms when left in a warm, humid enclosure.
