This T-shirt design is based on the membership card for the Friends of Eon. Friends of Eon was founded in Dublin in 1978 by Claire Farrell and a fellow member known as “Lola.” Its main aim was to give people who identified as transvestites and transsexual women a place to socialise safely, at a time when there was almost nowhere else in Ireland to do so. With this design, we are reminded of our history, of the strength and endurance of our community, and that we will always make spaces for ourselves.
