JESSIE MORDINE YOUNG INDIGO WORKSHOP 07.18.26 @ 2:30 pm In this relaxed one-hour workshop, participants will be introduced to the art of indigo dyeing, exploring the journey from plant to pigment to dye vat. Jessie will demonstrate a variety of resist-dye techniques—including stitching, folding, and binding—to create beautiful patterns and tonal variation on fabric. Participants will also learn how repeated dipping and oxidation produce a rich range of blue hues. Using these techniques, each participant will dye a set of two cotton napkins, creating unique and expressive pieces to take home. The workshop is designed to provide both practical skills and a foundational understanding of indigo dyeing, giving participants the confidence to continue exploring the process in their own creative practice.
