Steve Redman 1987 Painting and Folded Paper Collage

A 1987 painting and folded paper collage by American artist Steve Redman (born 1944). Titled Checkers II, this geometric work in green and blue features squares made of painted folded paper arranged to form a diamond design against a white background. Signed and dated to the lower right and titled verso, the work is displayed in a gold tone wooden frame. Born in Poseyville, Indiana, Steve Redman's artistic journey began with an unwavering certainty that can only be described as destiny. Redman attended the John Herron Art Institute for his BFA, Indiana University Bloomington for his MFA, and currently owns and operates his business, Redman Art Restoration.
