Large Rush Woven Oval Table Mat

These stunning table mats are made from English rush that is hand harvested and woven in Bedfordshire. The technique, which is centuries-old, starts with the picking of rush from the fresh water rivers. The crop is air-dried and bleached by the sun to draw out the warm golden tones. Each mat is sold individually. Dimensions: 20" x 16" Due to its handmade nature, this item may have slight irregularities in color or texture, which we think adds to its charm and beauty. The rush may start out green but tends to fade to a honey color over time. Care: Gently wipe with damp cloth. Spot clean only.
