Vintage 1940s-1960s Phantom Rouge Post-Mortem Makeup Crest Chemical Corp. NY Circa 1940s-1960s, Midcentury. Produced by Gold Crest Chemical Corp., based out of Woodside, NY. Post-mortem cosmetic, Phantom Rouge, formulated for use in funeral homes. Not to be used on living skin! Original makeup is still in jar. Label reads "Phantom Rouge", "APPLY TO LIPS WITH BRUSH", "GOLD CREST CHEMICAL CORP., WOODSIDE, LI, N.Y." Gold Crest Chemical Corporation was a mid-20th-century manufacturer of embalming chemicals and funeral service products that was later acquired by The Embalmers' Supply Company (ESCO) in 1989. Jar has a diameter of approximately 1.4 inches, and a height of approximately 1 inch. In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Please see all photos.
