Painting the Landscape in Oils, Acrylics, & Gouache with Linda Borch Wednesday, September 23- October 14 1-4pm 818 Pike St. Lemont, PA Art Alliance Members: $100 Non-Members: $120 Learn the basics of painting the landscape in oils, acrylics and gouache, or take your landscape painting to the next level! The course will concentrate on value, design and color, using your own photos. Participants will learn some rules of composition in order to make your painting not only pleasant to look at, but to enable you to portray the feeling you had when you were there. Linda will show you how to mix any color quickly using a traditional limited palette. Students will be amazed at the quality of light and color that will result. Students will be encouraged to work in their sketchbooks as well as design and begin multiple landscape paintings over the 4 weeks. This course is suitable for all levels and will include many demonstrations throughout the workshop, including some plein air painting in gouache! The course goal is to help you be more confident in your overall approach to landscape painting. A supply list will be provided upon signup. Please bring all supplies to the first class.
