ADV Tactical Badlands Bowie 2 Custom / Bone Inlay – Damascus

The Badlands Bowie 2 takes on an entirely different character here, pairing Andre de Villiers’ aggressive oversized design with polished camel bone and a dramatic Damascus blade. At 4.00 inches, the broad Bowie profile dominates the build with a long sweeping belly and pronounced clip point. A large machined fuller adds another dimension to the flowing Damascus pattern, while the contrast becomes especially striking through the grind as the pattern follows the changing geometry of the blade. At 0.175 inches thick, it retains the heavy blade stock expected from the Badlands while the flat grind keeps the profile clean and purposeful. The handle is where this Custom separates itself even further. Brushed titanium construction is fitted with polished camel bone inlays, introducing a warm ivory tone that sharply contrasts the otherwise satin presentation. The bone has natural variation visible beneath the polished surface, giving the knife a character that carbon fiber or machined titanium simply couldn’t duplicate. Recessed sections of the titanium handle, along with the pocket clip and backspacer, feature a darker bead-blasted finish that contrasts against the surrounding satin titanium. Deployment comes by flipper, with the blade riding on bearings. The oversized ADV pivot hardware, exposed layered construction, pronounced finger relief, and deeply machined handle profile retain the mechanical character of the Badlands design despite the more traditional material pairing. A titanium frame lock secures the blade, with a steel lockbar insert incorporated into the locking interface. The build is finished with titanium hardware, a titanium backspacer, and ADV’s multi-position titanium pocket clip, allowing tip-up or tip-down right-hand carry or tip-up left-hand carry. At 9 inches overall and 6.95 ounces, this remains unmistakably a Badlands: large, complex, and visually aggressive. This Custom brings an entirely different aesthetic to that familiar platform, balancing the raw mechanical character of the Badlands with a warmer, more refined presentation that makes this build stand apart.
