It is compatible with regular cab models (long or short bed), as well as quad, crew, and mega cab configurations with short beds. Use this driveshaft to upgrade your existing one piece driveshaft or to convert your two piece driveshaft into a heavy duty one piece. We will need you to measure for the driveshaft to verify proper fit. Measuring is very easy to do - just follow the diagram below. Most of the OEM one piece aluminum shafts are only 0.083 inch thick. Some Rams have the smaller 1415 or 1485 u-joint but you can upsize to this 1555 shaft without an issue since the transfer case yoke and flange bolt pattern are the same on the Ram 4x4 trucks. The upsized driveshaft will last longer due to the bigger u-joint. The driveshaft comes fully assembled, balanced and ready to bolt in. Installation is as simple as sliding in the transfer case yoke and bolting up the flange. It is not common but it is always a good idea to check for clearance issues with the carrier bearing cross member to ensure that the cross member does not need to be removed. This is a 100% new 4.6 inch aluminum driveshaft including a new transfer case slip yoke, new driveshaft and new flange. This is an all new direct replacement driveshaft.
