Originally created by longtime Morgan craftsman Erik Greiffenhagen, the House Blend began as an experiment at the Morgan workshop and developed into one of Erik’s most distinctive tenor designs. Erik’s goal was to capture the fullness and warmth associated with a great vintage hard-rubber tenor mouthpiece while adding more power, projection and versatility. His description was an “Otto Link on steroids.” The result is a full-bodied, responsive mouthpiece with a broad tonal palette while retaining a warm, darker core. Originally offered through Mouthpiece Cafe, the House Blend is now produced by Morgan Mouthpiece Company from premium rod hard rubber and individually hand-finished.
