Pavermate Z3 Polymeric Sand 50 lb is a clear-polymer jointing sand that is rain safe just 10 minutes after activation, the fastest set-up SRW offers. It leaves no haze because the formula drops the Portland, fly ash and crushed limestone that cause it, and it is blended to bind fines so there is little dust when you sweep. Choose Granite for grey pavers or Tan for warm earth tones, each in a 50 lb bag.Key Features Rain safe in 10 minutes: Once the joints are watered in, a shower 10 minutes later will not wash the sand out, which takes the gamble out of a summer install. Zero haze: Clear polymer technology with no Portland cement, fly ash or crushed limestone means no white film on dark pavers. Zero dust: Polymers and sand are mixed to bind fines, so the bag sweeps in cleanly. Joints up to 2 in: Rated for joints from 1/16" to 2" on concrete pavers, driveways, pool decks, walkways, patios and concrete overlays (1" max on overlays). How to Install ItStart with dry pavers, at least 24 hours after rain, and temperatures above 32°F. Compact the field with a rubber-plated compactor, then cut the bag and sweep the sand diagonally into the joints until they are full to the bottom. Compact again, top up any joint that drops 1/4", and use a soft broom and a leaf blower on idle to set the sand 1/8" below the paver surface. In sections up to 200 sq ft, mist until wet, switch to a light shower and keep watering for 2 minutes total. Probe with a screwdriver for 1" of moisture, then blow off standing water.
