SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small-molecule pan-agonist of estrogen-related receptors ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ, with its strongest activity reported at ERRα. These nuclear receptors regulate genes involved in mitochondrial function, oxidative metabolism and skeletal-muscle adaptation to aerobic exercise. In laboratory research, SLU-PP-332 increased mitochondrial respiration and promoted a more oxidative skeletal-muscle phenotype.
