The mandrel pairs especially well with the Herzberg shape, while remaining versatile enough to work with most bassoon reed shapes. Engraved reference lines help guide the reed-making process, including recommended positions for forming the tube and after beveling. An additional third line provides a reference point for forming contrabassoon reeds. The compact ergonomic handle is made from oiled beechwood for a comfortable grip, while the stainless steel mandrel provides durability and precision.
