It requires a cream hardener and sets quickly to create a smooth, sandable surface. How to Use Easy Tite Body Filler To ensure a strong bond and smooth finish, follow these steps: Surface Preparation: Clean the repair area thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, and rust. Sand the surface with coarse sandpaper (around P60-P120) to ensure the filler can grip properly. Mixing Ratio: Dispense the desired amount of filler onto a non-porous mixing board. Add the cream hardener (typically a 2%- 3% ratio, or roughly a bead of hardener across your pile of filler). Mix vigorously until the color is completely uniform. Application: Mix only what you can use in 3-5 minutes, as it hardens rapidly. Use a putty knife or spreader to apply a thin initial layer under firm pressure for maximum adhesion, then build up to your desired thickness. Sanding: Let it cure for 15-30 minutes until it is tack-free and solid. Sand the cured filler with an 80-grit sandpaper to shape, and finish with 180-grit or higher for a smooth, feathered edge that blends into the surrounding area.
