Alternathera is a gorgeous accent plant that we incorperate into our container garden. Alternathera Purple prince is a moody deep mahogony pruple foligage that pairs well with so many flowers to make them pop. We like to plant this foliage plant in our gardens for stunning fall color. We start seeds indoors in June, transplant outside in July. Foliage stays green for a while, and turns purple as temperatures decrease in the fall.
