Chichibu Takarabune marks the seventh and final release in the highly collectable 7 Gods of Fortune series, bringing the story to a fitting conclusion with an exceptionally limited single cask bottling. Distilled at Chichibu Distillery on 25 February 2016 and bottled in March 2026, this 10-year-old Japanese single malt was fully matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel. Bottled at an impressive 64.7% ABV, the whisky is presented in its purest form, allowing the distinctive character of Chichibu to take centre stage. Carefully selected as a single cask, Takarabune combines precision and elegance with remarkable intensity. The nose opens with the classic fruity character associated with Chichibu, revealing fresh and tropical fruit alongside a delicate creamy sweetness. On the palate, it is rich and beautifully balanced, with tropical fruit, vanilla and a luxurious creamy texture complemented by freshness and sweetness. The finish is refined and elegant, with a gentle dryness and lingering balance. Only 144 bottles were produced from this exceptional cask, making Takarabune a particularly rare release and the definitive final chapter of the 7 Gods of Fortune collection. Each bottle is crowned with a unique and substantial cast-metal stopper, specially created to complete the visual story of the series. Together with the striking Takarabune artwork, it makes this final release as much a collector's piece as it is an exceptional Japanese single malt.
