CRTBC-ECCM: A chocolate brown Castnidae moth with cryptic white upper forewing patches, mid-bands and lower hindwing vanilla cream-ended spot patterning . This moth, like other Neotropical moths of its species, are agricultural pests to palm and coconut trees; also known for their large wing spans that can measure up to 7 inches in length! They can be found near the Amazon Basin, located in South America. The special feature of this specific moth is the jewel rainbow green sheen that reflects its top and underside viewing (similar to the purple sheen that the White Witch Moths give in their underside viewing)[see 2nd image].
