Ken and Irene Navajo Pine Pitch Seed Pot
A collaboration seed pot handcrafted by Navajo husband and wife team, Ken and Irene White. This hand-coiled piece has colorful painted traditional and nature related designs. Created using both traditional and contemporary techniques. This lovely seed pot has a glossy finish sealed by a coating of pine pitch. Pine pitch pottery was a traditional technique used to seal pots so that they could hold water and food. A unique piece that honors traditional techniques while showcasing contemporary painting skills. Perfect piece for gifting or collecting. Seed pot measures 2-7/8" long and wide, stands 2-3/4" tall. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
