The relief design is impressed into slabs of clay which are then manipulated into 3 dimensional forms, often with the help of the potters wheel. Each piece is hand-thrown or slab-built (or a combination of both) by Denise McDonald, whose background in landscape architecture and formal ceramic training informs a practical, design-minded approach. The work is highly functional but also very decorative. Special pieces that can be used every day.
