This allows beginners to select an appropriate factory program and start detecting immediately while still giving experienced users the ability to customize and save their preferred settings. Advanced Target Separation XP detectors are known for fast target response, and the ICON provides 5 adjustable Reactivity levels from 1–5. Reactivity determines how quickly the detector can respond to closely spaced targets. Higher Reactivity settings can be especially useful when searching old home sites, parks, and relic locations where desirable targets may be surrounded by nails, iron, and modern trash. Discrimination & Multi-Notch The ICON provides adjustable discrimination along with 28-segment Multi-Notch discrimination. This allows you to reject specific portions of the target range while continuing to detect targets within the ranges you're interested in.
