'57 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Jr Murphy Lab (Pre-owned) The 1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior Murphy Lab faithfully recreates one of Gibson’s simplest and most enduring designs, built around a solid mahogany body and long-tenon mahogany neck joined with hide glue. It features a 50s Rounded Medium C neck profile, Indian rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, Kluson-style three-on-a-plate tuners and the traditional wraparound bridge. A single Gibson Custom Dogear P-90 provides the Junior’s unmistakable raw, direct tone, with CTS audio-taper pots and a paper-in-oil capacitor completing the vintage-style electronics. This example has received the Murphy Lab Heavy Aged treatment, with extensively aged finish and hardware recreating the look and feel of a well-played original from the 1950s, and comes complete with an Lifton brown case and Certificate of Authenticity.
