Yanagiha (willow leaf) form. See Glossary of the Construction, Decoration and Use of Arms and Armor, Stone fig.862 #2. Edo period. Just over 4” length with a tapered tang. Heavy proportions as these were made in various weights to accommodate battlefield conditions particularly ranges of attack. Gray patina to the crisp point.
