Wall Vase
The handbuilt form is inspired by gourds, one of the oldest vessels. Stoneware clay woodfired in an anagama kiln for three days. Natural ash glaze as a result of the firing process. This special body of work was commissioned by Hastings Art Gallery for the 2025 exhibition'Burning Ground', centred around the legacy of Bruce and Estelle Martin of Kamaka Pottery. All of these works were fired for up to 3 days in their smaller anagama kiln and made from clay specially mixed by the artist. Approx. Size: W65xH320mm Handcrafted in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
