We didn’t have money to make a buckle that could hold the weight of a loaded messenger bag, so we salvaged seatbelt buckles out of junkyard cars. An icon was born. Our original messenger bag with its seatbelt buckle quickly became a favorite of professional messengers around the world. More importantly, our way of making things was defined.
