Japanese Antique Byōbu Screen Painting of Bamboo

A Japanese four-panel folding screen (byōbu), depicting a graceful grove of mature bamboo rendered in expressive sumi ink against a luminous gold-leaf ground. Tall, segmented bamboo stalks rise dramatically across the panels, their black tones contrasted beautifully against the warm gold.
