Their gins portray landmarks and stories from the island and have a significant connection to the island and its community. The distillery was first established in 2019 by five ladies who came out of retirement to create something new and exciting on the island. After five years they passed the torch to Caroline and Struan Fraser who were both born and raised in Ayrshire and have years of experience in the whisky industry. Waverley Gin is produced by Isle of Cumbrae Distillers in association with Waverley Excursions. A portion of the sale goes to the Waverley Charity. Waverley Gin is handcrafted in Millport, utilising an award winning recipe for a contemporary style London dry gin. Feature Botanicals: Pineapple, Mango and Elderberry The nose has the fresh fruity aromas of pine-forward juniper, pineapple and mango. The first sip brings forward the mild sweetness of the pineapple and mango, then deepens with the spiced flavours of Elderberry and pink peppercorn. The flavours are finally pulled together and rounded off with orange. Perfect serve: Waverley Gin is best served with a light tonic and a slice of pineapple or orange.
