“Cameron Bridge 2009” whisky barrel top coffee table
Whisky barrels can be over 80 years old before they are retired, starting out in the USA as bourbon barrels, before coming to Scotland where they may be filled and emptied several times. This table top bears the details of its final stop at Cameron Bridge Distillery in Fife along with the numbers 2009 and 2789.A layer of paint is applied each time a barrel is refilled with whisky, before being laid down to mature. Barrels interiors are charred to add flavour and colour to the spirit, but don’t worry, this has been brushed back and sealed with wax.The top is supported by 4 solid, black, hairpin legs.Dimensions: Width –53cm, Height – 33cm Profits from the sale of my items are donated to CAC Climbers Against Cancer which funds research into rare cancers around the world. Please do contact me if you have any queries.
