Bat Care Kit (Knocking and Care kit)

Sports Blue introduces the most advanced bat care kit in the world. A kit that has everything needed to take care of your valuable stick. Items included in the kit: 30ml bottle of linseed bat oil. Wooden mallet (for knocking) Gripper (for bat grips) 2 x bat grips 2 x Hammer edge anti-scuff sheet 2 x toe guards and a glue stick. How to prepare your bat Step 1 (Oiling): - Drop few drops of Sports Blue linseed oil on the bat. - Spread it all over the face of the bat (playing area only) and on the side edges. - leave the bat laid down overnight (min 24 hrs) for the oil to absorb. Step 2 (Knocking): - Start knocking with light taps on your bat with Sports Blue Wooden mallet. - The edges and toe of the bat needs special attention as the edges must be rounded off with light taps and then increasing pressure slowly and gradually. - Middle of the bat will need knocking with a higher force and a total of 10,000 knocks all over the bat to make it fully knocked. - Never use excessive force and knock too hard as it can cause damage to the bat. - Once the bat is knocked, you can start using it in nets with a good quality old ball, and if the ball is still leaving any seam marks that means more knocking is required. Note: (hammer edge sheet must be applied after knocking and prior net practice) Step 3 (Protective sheet): - Once the bat is dried and knocking done, apply Sports Blue special hammer edge anti-scuff sheet - Start from below the sticker and till end off the bat, cut any excessive part and discard. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once all these steps are followed properly, your bat is ready to play and can be used in matches now!
