The Midi is generously proportioned and exceptionally deep, offering superb comfort while being slightly more manageable in size than the matching Grande. The combination of contrasting grey tones, naturally aged leather and the statement footstool gives this set a wonderfully individual country-house appearance. ⸻ Design & Upholstery The Midi features substantial deep-buttoned arms and outer panels upholstered in thick quality genuine leather hide, giving the sofa its distinctive shape and luxurious character. The leather has a naturally aged appearance, with attractive variations in tone, creasing and patina adding to the relaxed vintage styling. The generously sized seat cushions are upholstered in a darker grey woven wool, beautifully contrasting with the lighter tones of the leather. The cushions are finished with genuine leather piping made from the same leather hide used across the arms and panels, neatly connecting the contrasting leather and woven wool upholstery. The exceptionally deep seating is complemented by a luxurious scatter-back arrangement of soft chenille cushions, including contrasting grey and deep navy tones. The thick genuine leather hide displays the natural creasing, tonal variation and aged appearance expected from this style of leather, together with some occasional marks and areas of sun fading from previous use. The Midi has considerably less sun fading than the matching Grande, although some natural variation in the leather remains visible. The darker grey woven wool seat cushions present well overall. As with previously owned upholstered furniture, there are some signs of use and the occasional pull to the fabric. The chenille scatter cushions and coordinating decorative cushions present well, while the large paisley design footstool remains an impressive feature of the set.
