Charlotte Perriand “Cansado” Bench, France 1950
An iconic “Cansado” bench designed by Charlotte Perriand, manfactured in France around 1950. Originally designed by Perriand for a project in Cansado, Mauritania, which is why this bench is now known as the Cansado bench. Made of the highest quality teak wood in a warm brown colour, on a rectangular black lacquered metal base. A minimalist, modern design that can be used in many different decors, adding warmth, style and a piece of design history to the interior. The bench remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
