Heavy Fine Stitched Embroidered Vintage Kantha Quilt in Blue and Yellow

This beautifully weighty vintage kantha quilt was handmade many years ago in Bengal. Beautifully embroidered in a mix of patterns, this thick but super soft style is perfect for adding a layer of handmade authenticity to your home. This quilt features a soft blue with distinct patches on one side and soft yellow patterns on the other. The stitch patterns are a mix of diamond rice-grain and chequered blanket stitches, giving it a load of variety in addition to the fabric pattern. This one is a medium to heavy weight, made from around 7 layers of fine cotton and is in great condition for its age with only a few signs of use. SIZE: 210cm x 150cm (82” x 59”) As a true vintage textile, it shows the charm of its past life. Expect small imperfections, patches, and worn areas where the layers of fabric peek through, these are not flaws, but part of its history and character.
