Our components consist of No 5. bolts, generally found in the aircraft industry (they do not break). Our custom handles made of hickory wood get better with age. Lastly, we manufacture our headpiece and blade with US steel from a factory as old as the gold rush, heat-treating each individually for added strength. Every component of the tool meets USFS and CAL FIRE requirements.
