2006 Rainsong WS1000 Used! Just in on Consignment! Grand Auditorium Cutaway Acoustic / Electric Guitar Graphite / Carbon Fiber Construction Used! Just in on consignment! I sold this Rainsong WS1000 when new back in 2006 (to a personal friend of mine) and it’s just back on consignment. RainSong is well known as an innovator in building unique graphite/epoxy instruments since 1995, and earning a huge reputation for their instruments’ tone, appearance, durability, and quality. The WS 1000 was always one of their best-selling models and features a single-cutaway Grand Auditorium / Jumbo Cutaway body-style made of woven graphite, using what the company calls “projection tuned layering” construction to eliminate the need for braces in the body or on the soundboard. The neck is made of a graphite/epoxy mix with 21 nickel silver frets and a 1-3/4” Tusq nut. A beautiful Abalone rosette and Mother of Pearl shark fretboard inlays add a unique and beautiful aesthetic, and a high-gloss UV protective urethane finish gives the woven graphite a cool, three-dimensional look. The WS 1000 has a warm, natural feel. It’s very light and comfortable to play. Because the RainSong has no internal bracing, it is loud, with outstanding projection. It throws clear, deep, bass and shimmering treble with slightly scooped mid-range, which gives it an almost plugged-in sound. This WS 1000 is from the company’s Washington era (they were originally based in Hawaii) and comes equipped with an LR Baggs E-Element pickup system and electronics. It sounds great plugged in and is a very practical choice for gigging musicians, or anyone who lives in a location with seasons, due to it not being susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity like a traditional acoustic guitar with wood construction. Overall, the WS1000 offers a pleasing, deep, natural tone, quality feel, and excellent craftsmanship. It’s a great “alternative” in the high-end acoustic guitar market. Freshly setup and ready to go! Exceptional condition without any serious issues, damage, or repairs. There may be a small blemish or mark here and there, but overall, it has not been used much and was well taken care.
