Spring Flea Market – 17 May 2026

The VFN hosts a hugely popular bi-annual International Flea & Member Business market where members can sell gently-used toys, books, clothes, equipment, furniture for babies and toddlers plus maternity clothing as well as pregnancy/childcare books (pretty much everything you could possibly need). While ONLY members may sell their goods, the markets are attended by both members and non-members, and usually take place in spring and autumn. Their success relies completely on VFN member volunteers, with many people needed on the day to keep things running smoothly. The cakes and biscuits sold in the Charity Café & Bake Sale are homemade and donated by VFN members, with all proceeds donated to the VFN charity of the year. Every year our membership chooses a charity to support through our Flea Markets, Christmas Party and other Events. This year our members have chosen MOMO. Since 2013 MOMO Children’s Palliative Care Center walks alongside children with life-threatening or life-shortening illnesses and holds their families through every stage of the journey. From the moment of diagnosis—sometimes for months, often for years—MOMO provides compassionate, multidisciplinary care tailored to each child’s unique needs, always free of charge. Doctors, nurses, therapists, psychologists, social workers, and dedicated hospice volunteers work together to ease pain, create moments of relief, and offer strength in the most fragile times. Through this support, even the simplest acts of everyday life—going grocery shopping, taking a short walk, or sitting down for a quiet cup of coffee—become possible again for parents who are often physically and emotionally exhausted. At the MOMO ZeitRaum day center in Vienna, families find space to breathe: a safe place for treatment, for rest, for grief, and for being together when time feels most precious. Siblings, too, are seen and supported through dedicated groups where they can share their fears, connect with others who truly understand, and experience a sense of belonging and togetherness. Because at MOMO, palliative care means more than medical support—it means honoring life, protecting dignity, and standing faithfully beside families in laughter and in tears.
