CARM DOURO RED VINHA DO BISPADO 2023

The Roboredo Madeira family's six organically farmed quintas in the Douro Superior cluster around Almendra, where steep schist slopes, granitic soils, and an extreme continental climate — scorching summers, cold nights, less than 500mm of annual rainfall — push Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz to produce concentrated, structured fruit. Vinified at Quinta das Marvalhas since 2004 using native varieties and vegan-certified methods, this Douro Tinto opens with ripe dark cherry, blackberry, and violet, layered with earthy schist minerality and spice, finishing firm and persistent.
