Lone Wolf Leathers Work Belt Natural
This is yet another beautiful belt by our good friend Michael whom runs his small brand of hand crafted leather products, this under the name Lone Wolf Leather. This time Michael provided us with makers notes, it pleases us to be able to let his own words to tell the story of this belt: The Maker’s Notes I have found that a width of 1¼ inches (32 mm) is the most comfortable and practical size for a belt. It is the ideal width for true workwear. The materials used in these belts are carefully sourced from Sweden and the United States—among the finest available, in my view. The leather is premium natural bridle leather from Tärnsjö Garveri. This firm, top-quality leather is infused with additional waxes and oils during the tanning process, enhancing its ability to develop a rich patina over time. With use, the belt gradually darkens to a beautiful honey color. Only the croupon section of each hide is used—the strongest and most stable part of the leather. In other words, no lower-grade belly or shoulder leather is utilized. Croupon leather ensures exceptional durability, minimal stretching, and very little creasing. The solid brass buckles are sourced from a trusted supplier in the United States. Any protective lacquer is carefully removed by hand, and each buckle is then repolished. This allows the brass to age naturally alongside the leather, developing a character of its own: darkening and tarnishing in untouched areas while retaining a warm golden tone where it is polished by daily wear. Each belt is stitched entirely by hand using the traditional saddle stitch, renowned for its strength and longevity. To further enhance durability, I use woven polyester thread rather than natural linen, which would require replacement long before the leather itself shows significant wear. All in all, this is a belt built to accompany your work pants, fatigues, chinos, or favorite pair of jeans for decades to come. Crafted to be the last belt you may ever need to buy. I am tempted to offer a lifetime guarantee, though I cannot say with certainty whether I will still be around in 40 or 50 years. The leather can be conditioned with neatsfoot oil or similar products when needed. Please note that most leather conditioners will darken the leather. I recommend testing any conditioner on the back of the belt near the buckle and stitching before applying it to the entire surface. Best regards, Michael The last images are of an unused belt, together with a used belt that is made out of the same leather and with the same buckle. This images show an example on how the belt will develop through time. To measure a belt you take the measurement from the buckle to the middle hole and that number should match the width around your waist. In that way you will have holes ready if your waist measure becomes bigger or smaller. - Lone Wolf Leathers Work Belt Natural - Belt width = 1 ¼ inches or 32 mm - Top grade Tärnsjö natural veg tanned - Solid brass buckle - Cut and finished by hand - All hand made in Sweden by Lone Wolf Leathers
