Date: Saturday, May 9, 2026 Time: 12pm - 5pm Cost: $180 Location: 205C York St., Nevada City, CA 95959 Workshop Description: Come experience the alchemy of nature in this introductory Botanical printing workshop. Learn the process to imprint with leaves and flowers onto fabrics, using heat and natural ingredients to activate and fix the pigments. During this class you will learn about different kinds of natural fibers, how to prepare them to fix the prints and colors (mordent), what leaves and flowers use to get a nice print, and variations in the main technique. We will develop a few samples with different methods, working with protein and cellulose fibers, so you can observe and experience the variety of results. You will take home a descriptive collection of samples, and a silk pillowcase that you will botanical print during the class.
