Grasscloth Jubilee Wallpaper

A loose, painterly vertical stripe in mineral and earth tones — sage, bronze, taupe, butter-cream, gunmetal gray, and warm tan — washed onto a soft sage-green ground. The stripes vary in width, in saturation, and in placement, with some butting together and others separated by wider runs of the green ground showing through. The watercolor application is loose enough that each stripe has visible bleed at the edges and pooled darkness toward the center where pigment settled. The palette is deliberately dusty and slightly aged. Nothing reads as primary or saturated; instead the entire surface has the patinaed quality of an old grasscloth that has weathered a few seasons of light. White stripes interrupt the warmer earth tones at irregular intervals, providing breath and preventing the wall from going monochromatic. The sage ground reads warm in lamplight and cooler in daylight, shifting the apparent temperature of the whole room with the time of day.
