In the tradition of our other Icon Collection Stetsons, we started out with a new Boss of the Plains in the rare rust color, distressed it further, and replaced the hatband with our own Horween Leather one, complete with brass hardware. We also added feathers and our signature hat pin. Created in the 1860s by John B. Stetson on a trip out West seeking open skies and new frontiers, The Boss of the Plains is the hat that started it all. In keeping with its unparalleled heritage, each Boss of the Plains is made the old-fashioned way, dyed and shaped and distressed entirely by hand. This results in a hat that is truly one of a kind, with its own unique color, shape and level of distressing.
