The RVG1634 has a 34" exterior width and requires a minimum 36" base cabinet — so a standard 36" cabinet is the minimum and will work for the installation itself. However, with a 34" sink in a 36" cabinet, there is very little clearance on either side of the sink cutout, which can make the installation tighter and leaves minimal countertop space on the sides of the sink within that cabinet run. If your layout allows for a 39" or 42" cabinet at the sink position, you will have more comfortable clearance and a better visual proportion. The 36" minimum is a hard requirement for the cutout to fit — anything smaller will not accommodate the sink.
