Cateto Fig

Cateto is a variety that was discovered by well-known growers, Figues du Monde. This is a lighter variety that can show a wide range of colors on both its skin and pulp depending on growing conditions. The drop-shaped figs will often have an overall light-brown color when ripe, that is made up of very light purple and yellow skin mixed together. The interior pulp is usually light red, amber, and light brown. Cateto figs grow on trees with 3- and 5-lobed leaves. Cateto is a unique variety for anyone wishing to grow satisfying and delicious brebas. Despite the large size of the brebas, they are still saturated with flavor and delicious to eat. The main crop is equally delicious with flavors of dark berries, melons, and a pleasant fragrance to go with it. The figs have a bit of seed crunch that adds another element to the tasting of the Cateto fig. Terms and Conditions: ***Please be sure to read our Terms and Conditions before purchasing cuttings*** When do we ship cuttings? Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December): We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March. **All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees. Rooted Cuttings(Spring): We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span.
