About the Sermon Leonard Ravenhill (1907–1994) was an English evangelist who preached open-air and tent campaigns across Britain before moving to the United States and settling near Lindale, Texas. His best-known book, Why Revival Tarries (1959), argues that the church lacks revival because it lacks prayer, and contains his famous line “No man is greater than his prayer life.” The design sums up that message rather than quoting one sermon.
